The Wisconsin Image Server (WIS) is an archive of Wisconsin images cataloged in a searchable database located on the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point campus. Contributors to the project make their collections available for educational use. Contributors enter descriptive information about their images into the Web-accessible database and upload files to the WIS server. WIS users search the database via a Web search form. The results of their search provides descriptive information, thumbnail images, and links to full-sized images. Users may download images for education use. Commercial use requires the permission of the image owner.
